Call for Delegates for Tanzania Mental Health Summit 2025

The Tanzania Mental Health Summit 2025 is officially calling for passionate and dedicated young leaders to join as delegates! This groundbreaking summit, organized by the Women and Youth Development Solution (WAYDS) in collaboration with key partners, will take place on May 30th – 31st, 2025, in Submarine Hotel - Kahama, Shinyanga Region.

This unique initiative aims to bring together 500+ stakeholders—government representatives, mental health experts, advocates, and young changemakers—to address critical mental health challenges across Tanzania. Delegates will have the opportunity to engage in transformative discussions, workshops, and policy dialogues centered around mental health and sustainable development.


Why Become a Delegate?

Delegates will be at the forefront of efforts to integrate mental health into Tanzania’s national agenda. Benefits of joining the program include:

  • Full Sponsorship: Lodging and meals during the summit are fully covered.

Eligibility Criteria

Are you eligible to become a delegate? Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Tanzanian youth aged 18–35 years.
  • Active in community or organizational movements addressing social or mental health challenges.
  • Proficient in Swahili (English is an added advantage).
  • Willing to commit to attending the summit annually and implementing mental health advocacy in their community.

Delegates are expected to cover transportation costs and a small fee of TZS 35,000 for summit materials.
